The Grand Tour, still going.
Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft to have visited Uranus and Neptune, completing the Grand Tour of all four giant planets. Launched in 1977, it crossed the heliopause on November 5, 2018 at 119.7 AU, entering interstellar space.
Now at approximately 143 AU from Earth, it continues to return science data on the interstellar medium with four operating instruments. In October 2024, NASA turned off its plasma science instrument to conserve power, but the remaining instruments are expected to operate through 2026.
